THE ROLE

The Whyalla Recreation Centre is seeking Duty Managers who will provide leadership and supervision to assigned teams while overseeing daily operations, ensuring staff productivity, monitoring process compliance and creating a positive and safe work environment for all employees and patrons visiting the facility. Successful candidates will have the availability to work some weekends, with flexible rostering.

Duty Managers play a pivotal role in ensuring our facilities are actively supervised in a professional, respectful and caring manner in line with YMCAs values. They act as chief wardens and represent the facility Manager during rostered times, contributing to a high performing professional culture.

With the responsibility of ensuring the aquatic environment is delivered and maintained during rostered shifts in compliance with the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation and relevant state legislation, Duty Managers are pivotal in the successful daily operations and delivery of important community aquatic assets.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

  • National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
  • DHS Working With Children Check
  • International Criminal History Record Check (if worked overseas in the last 5 years)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or equivalent.
  • HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent.
  • SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard or equivalent.
  • SISSS00131 Aquatic Technical Operator or equivalent.
