Job Overview:

The Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson plays a pivotal role in the dairy farm's production team. Responsibilities include planning and managing all aspects of milk production, including milking shed routines, reproductive programs, and livestock feeding plans.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage pasture and crop strategies for livestock production
  • Design livestock feeding programs
  • Oversee animal health initiatives and handle sick or injured animals
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and maintain relevant documentation
  • Operate milking equipment safely
  • Assist with calf feeding and irrigation works
  • Handle and store chemicals; prepare and apply chemicals
  • Operate farm and dairy shed-related vehicles, plant, and equipment

Requirements:
  • AQF Certificate III in Agriculture / Dairy Production (or higher equivalent)
  • Three (3) years of recent and relevant work experience
