About the Role

TRS Staffing is currently in search of an Area Construction Manager to join our esteemed client's team based in South Australia. This is a FIFO 2:1 opportunity, leading the safe and efficient execution of shutdown construction activities across Hot Metals OR Non-Hot Metals scopes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of shutdown and pre-commitment construction scopes
  • Implement construction strategies and methodologies to optimise performance
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure constructability and minimise disruptions
  • Identify and manage construction risks using established frameworks
  • Monitor schedules and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental standards
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing site and contractor teams

Skills and Experience

  • 5-10 years of construction leadership experience in heavy industry or resources
  • Strong knowledge of shutdowns and brownfield project execution
  • Proven ability to manage safety, quality, and schedule performance
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or trade/project management certification
