The Opportunity
Looking for a change of pace, more responsibility, or a team that lets you get on with the job? This is a hands-on locksmith role with Patterson Locksmiths offering autonomy, variety, and real support — whether you're a seasoned pro or an experienced apprentice ready to step up.
Positions Available:
- Qualified / Highly Experienced Locksmith
- 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice
You'll be out on the road, doing real work with trust and independence — not stuck in a workshop all day.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Install, repair and service locks (residential, commercial, automotive)
- Respond to emergency lockouts and time-sensitive jobs
- Handle safes, key cutting, and access systems
- Provide on-the-spot security advice
- Keep accurate job records and follow up with clients
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years of practical experience (or close to qualified)
- A solid understanding of modern locksmithing practices
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Manual driver's licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Private Security Licence (or ability to get one)
- Police Check & Working with Children Check (or willingness to apply)
