This role is for a skilled music producer to collaborate on a full-length album for a music project based in Brisbane, Australia. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining onsite sessions with remote flexibility. The project is long-term and requires a producer who is passionate about music creation, attention to detail, and committed to delivering high-quality results. Candidates from outside Brisbane who are open to travel are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate will bring creative input, technical expertise, and a collaborative spirit to help shape the album's sound and direction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end music production process for a full album, from pre-production to final mastering
  • Collaborate closely with the artist to develop song arrangements, instrumentation, and overall sonic direction
  • Record, edit, and mix tracks using industry-standard DAWs and equipment
  • Coordinate and conduct both in-person and remote recording sessions as needed
  • Provide creative input on songwriting, arrangement, and sound design
  • Manage project timelines and ensure consistent progress toward album completion
  • Communicate effectively with the artist regarding feedback, revisions, and project milestones

Skills And Requirements

  • Proven experience producing full-length albums or multiple tracks in a professional or semi-professional setting
  • Proficiency with major digital audio workstations (e.g., Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools)
  • Strong understanding of music theory, arrangement, and contemporary production techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid (onsite/remote) environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel to Brisbane for key sessions if not locally based
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to delivering high-quality work on schedule
  • Familiarity with a range of musical genres and openness to creative experimentation
