Mechanical Fitter

Zenith Engineering are a leading supplier of Isuzu Diesel engines for Marine, Rural and Industrial applications, based in the Brisbane suburb of Hemmant.

Due to internal reorganization, we are seeking a hands-on motivated person with good mechanical skills.

Duties will include but not limited to

Assemble & testing of: -

• Marine generator sets
• Marine power packs
• Marine propulsion engines
• Radiator cooled generators
• General purpose power packs

Our ideal candidate would be:-

• Self-motivated
• Able to work unsupervised
• A team player willing to assist other team members
• Able to manage own timeline in line with production requirements
• Willing to learn & participate in other areas of our business.
• Be Highly competent with the use of tools for fitting.

This position is workshop based with most of the work being bench based.

It's all about assembling various Marine & radiator cooled generator sets, NOT crawling under cars or Machinery

This position is open to a range of applicants including: -

• Qualified Mechanics
• Apprentices nearing the end of their apprenticeship.
• Mechanical trades assistants
• Diesel fitter & turner's
• Motor Mechanic's
• Candidates with any mechanical background are welcome to apply.
• A minimum of 1-3 years of mechanical experience is required.

Working hours are flexible and can be full-time or permanent part time.

Experience in Marine and commercial applications would be an advantage

A current driver's license is required and a forklift license would be an advantage.

Remuneration is based around 38hr week + 2 hrs overtime, A yearly bonus is paid and will be discussed at interview.
