Pilbara Motor Group has proudly served the Pilbara region for over 22 years, beginning as a small dealership in Port Hedland. We now operate 12 locations across the Pilbara region, offering leading brands like Toyota, Nissan, and Isuzu Ute. Our team of over 200 local employees is dedicated to providing top-notch service and expertise to our community.

Supporting our dealerships is our Perth Motor Bodies operation, which includes a pre-delivery workshop, fabrication workshop, paint shop, and corporate office. This role offers you the chance to join a talented team and work on industry-leading 4WD conversions and vehicle builds.

The Role:

As an Automotive Technician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, you'll be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that contribute to the preparation and conversion of vehicles, including:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fitting Accessories: Install bull bars, tow bars, snorkels, and other 4WD accessories.
  • Suspension Upgrades: Install and upgrade suspension systems for improved vehicle performance.
  • Tyre Fitting & Wheel Alignments: Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and perform optimally.
  • Component Installation & Replacement: Work with mechanical and electrical components, including fuel tanks and other parts.
  • Pre-Delivery Inspections: Conduct thorough checks to ensure vehicles are ready for customer delivery.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous 4WD accessory fitting experience is essential.
  • Automotive electrical experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Automotive Trade Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, while maintaining quality standards.
  • Current driver's license.
  • Must have own hand tools (a required tool list will be provided).
  • Solid mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
