About the role
As a Social Worker Level 3, you'll play a vital role in supporting clients experiencing complex psychosocial issues. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, trauma-informed social work services to clients, families, and carers.
- Provide expert consultation to clinicians, supporting the best possible health outcomes.
- Work across a range of specialist services including the Newcastle Cannabis Clinic, Hunter Drug and Alcohol Counselling Service, and the Stimulant Treatment Program.
About you
You're an approachable professional with a non-judgemental manner and excellent active listening skills. You understand the importance of empathy, clear boundaries, and professionalism in building effective working relationships.

Requirements:
- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers and a minimum of three years full time experience.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
Additional Information:
- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
