About the role

Winchelsea Veterinary Hospital is seeking a passionate and skilled Groomer to join our team in our clinic located in Winchelsea, VIC. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your other commitments.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing high-quality grooming services to our canine and patients, including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and other grooming tasks
  • Handling animals in a calm and gentle manner to ensure their comfort and safety
  • Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised
  • Communicating effectively with clients to understand their pet's grooming needs and preferences
  • Advising clients on proper home grooming techniques and products
  • Keeping accurate records of each pet's grooming services

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in pet grooming, with a thorough understanding of various breeds and their grooming requirements is a MUST
  • Excellent handling skills and the ability to work safely and calmly with animals
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow grooming procedures and protocols
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Flexibility to accommodate a variety of shift patterns, including evenings and weekends
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare and the wellbeing of our patients
