About the role

Join the dynamic team at Pawfect Pooches Dog Grooming as a part-time Dog Groomer. This role is based in Mooloolaba, QLD and will see you working alongside a passionate team of pet care professionals to provide high-quality grooming services to our canine clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing expert grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling dogs of all breeds and sizes
  • Assessing the needs of each dog and customizing grooming plans accordingly
  • Ensuring a positive and stress-free experience for all dogs in your care
  • Maintaining a clean and organized grooming area
  • Providing advice to clients on proper pet care and grooming techniques
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and animal welfare standards

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a dog groomer (preferably at least 12 months, however willing to take on a groomer that needs a little more training), with a strong understanding of different dog breeds and their grooming needs
  • Minimum of 6 months or less previous dog grooming experience is acceptable for this position
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with both canine and human clients
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality grooming standards
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certification or training in dog grooming, or a willingness to obtain relevant qualifications
