Dog Groomer

About the role

Love dogs? Love making them look and feel amazing? We're looking for not just a talented groomer, but the right person to join our close-knit, friendly team at Woofers Dog Grooming in West Hobart.

This is a casual role with the option to move to permanent part-time or full-time for the right person. Guaranteed work all year round - yes, even in winter

What you'll do

• Create cute teddy bear haircuts using clippers, blades and scissors (minimum requirement)
• Trim and style dogs according to breed standards (not essential)
• Bathe, brush, dry and pamper pooches
• Provide nail trims and ear cleaning
• Chat with clients to understand their needs and preferences
• Keep your workspace clean and organised
• Follow safety and hygiene protocols

What we're looking for

• Previous grooming experience is essential
• Strong knowledge of dog breeds and grooming techniques
• Confidence working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments
• Great customer service skills
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• A genuine love for dogs and their wellbeing
