Carrington's Traffic Services are currently seeking an Experienced Traffic Management Plan Designer

Must have (AWTM) Accreditation and be located in Perth for an IMMEDIATE START

Must havea positive "can do" attitude, and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment alongside a dynamic, family-orientated operations team to be based in our Midvale Depot.

Carrington's (WA) Pty Ltd is a Western Australian Traffic Management business, first established in 2003, we have grown to 250+ employees and own various depots throughout WA. Carrington's (WA) PTY Ltd has carried out various works & projects within the Kimberley region down to Esperance & Albany, and all within and around the Perth Metro Area.

Carrington's Traffic Services provides all Traffic Management services, as well as Traffic Management Planning and Event Management. Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Efficiently develop detailed and accurate Traffic Guidance Schemes & Traffic Management Plans by relevant legislation, policies, codes, and procedures.
  • Cooperate and work efficiently with clients on Traffic Management requirements for upcoming projects and determine various phases of construction/events.
  • Perform job analysis, hazard identification, and risk analysis and provide recommendations to be sent to clients.
  • Ensure all relevant Permits are obtained and forwarded to the clients within allocated timelines.
  • Monitor permit expiry dates and apply for extensions, if required.
  • Cooperating and coordinating with other Planners where required to ensure all work is completed promptly.
  • Communicate any operational and site requirements to our Works Scheduler, State Operations Manager & Sales Officer.
  • Review TGSs/TMPs, and communicate any issues or concerns to the State Operations Manager / General Manager.

Required Skills & Qualities:

Current AWTM Accreditation is Essential.
  • Current WA Driver's License.
  • Full unrestricted Australian Working rights.
  • Excellent time management & organization, built on a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).
  • Proficiency with programs such as AutoCAD & Nearmaps.
  • Working knowledge and interpretation of current legislation, standards, and codes of practice relating to traffic management procedures and policies in WA.
  • Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication Skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also individually.
  • Proactive approach to task management.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to help out where able.
  • Previous experience in the Traffic Management, Mining, or Construction industries will be highly regarded.
  • A portfolio or evidence of previous works may be requested.
  • Attend client site meetings when arranged to discuss upcoming Traffic Management Planning for projects.
