The City of Bunbury is seeking a dedicated Injury Management and Wellbeing Advisor to join our People & Safety team.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in building a safe and supportive workplace, where wellbeing is a priority.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate proactive wellbeing programs through collaboration with stakeholders
  • Coordinate injury reporting and assessment in line with legislation and policy.
  • Implement and oversee rehabilitation programs tailored to individual employee needs.
  • Liaise with medical professionals, managers, and employees to support recovery pathways.
  • Develop and facilitate effective return-to-work plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend proactive strategies to prevent workplace injuries.
  • Provide ongoing advice, guidance, and support to staff throughout their recovery journey.

You'll succeed if this sounds like you:

  • You champion a worker centred approach to injury management and wellbeing.
  • You have relevant qualifications or significant experience in injury management, occupational health and safety, or return-to-work coordination.
  • You understand workers' compensation legislation and rehabilitation frameworks.
  • You are skilled in building strong, empathetic relationships with employees, medical providers, and managers.
  • You can manage sensitive and complex situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • You have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • You're a proactive team player who is passionate about health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplace.
