In this role, you'll:
As part of Transport for NSW's transformative agenda, the Transport Asset Manager (TAM) has been established to enhance the safety and reliability of the state's heavy rail assets, facilitating long-term investment in rail infrastructure, while also allowing for efficient operations and asset surety.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Asset Manager to assist with the strategic asset management of the Heavy Rail Fleet & Plant portfolio.
This role will be central to shaping the long-term custodianship of rolling stock and mobile plant assets across the network—including passenger fleets, on-track machinery, and depot-based equipment.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving investment strategies and asset management plans that ensure safety, reliability, and sustainability across the full lifecycle of fleet and plant assets.
Operating within Transport for NSW and Treasury frameworks, you will provide expert oversight of technical performance, maintenance effectiveness, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

- Monitor asset performance against defined safety, maintenance, and operational standards, supporting assurance processes and contributing to risk management and compliance reporting.
