Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for operation excellence?

We are seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the distribution centre at our Richlands site. Reporting to the National Warehouse Operations Manager you will lead the team to ensure optimum customer service is delivered, while upholding the highest standard of safety, quality, and environmental compliance is achieved. With a strong focus on operational efficiency, you will drive performance and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all warehouse and distribution functions on site.
  • Oversee the receival, storage, order picking, dispatch and transportation of product.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality, stock accuracy, safety and hygiene.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HSE and cold chain requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, cost and service delivery.
  • Manage the objectives of Warehouse management in terms of the budget and the cost reduction plan
  • Lead, coach and develop a dedicated warehouse team
  • Monitor KPI's and reporting to support operational decisions.
  • Guarantee Lactalis Global Supply Chain Quality standards are in place
  • Support crisis and quality management events

About You

  • 5+ years' experience in warehousing, distribution or logistics environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Manager or Business-related field is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate employees.
  • Experience with SAP and WMS is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced temperature-controlled environment.
