Flinders View Primary School and Preschool is located in Port Augusta, a small city about 322 kilometres north of the state capital, Adelaide. Formerly a seaport, it is now a road traffic and railway junction city with much to be discovered about the history as a traditional meeting place for Aboriginal people. Our unique location means you can explore the inviting Spencer Gulf waters from kayaking to catching a kingfish, and you will enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the stunning scenery. You can also discover the magic of the Outback or nearby Flinders Ranges before returning to all the comforts our regional City offers.

This Junior Primary teacher will be an integral part of the Early Years Rec-Year 2 team, supporting children with diverse needs, with a particular focus on Aboriginal and EALD learners. This role demands strong classroom and behaviour management skills. Key responsibilities include integrating school-wide pedagogy and assessment practices, employing high-impact strategies, and actively participating in professional development. A significant emphasis is placed on embedding social and emotional learning throughout teaching. The successful applicant will have access to a literacy and numeracy coaches, and a classroom School Support Officer will assist during literacy and numeracy lessons.
