About the role
The Home Care Support Worker will provide direct in-home assistance which supports each person to achieve their cultural, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual goals in their daily living.  Duties may vary from providing personal care assistance and performing domestic tasks to assisting them to engage in social activities and shopping external to their home.

Vasey RSL Care is seeking highly motivated and energetic support workers, displaying characteristics encompassing reliability, punctuality, enthusiasm and a passion for working with older people, including veterans, in our community. Candidates will show a willing interest in providing consumer directed care, with a focus on dignity and quality of life.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have proven effective communication skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach to work.  You will also be flexible and adaptable, and be confident to respond to various situations to meet the needs of our clients.

You will also have:

• Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability 

• Proven ability to effectively manage time and organise workload

• Strong computer literacy 

• Current First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificates.

• Reliable and registered vehicle and current Comprehensive car insurance.

• Current driver's licence 

• Willingness to undergo a National police check and provide proof of rights to work in Australia
