About the Role:

We're looking for an Electrician/Instrumentation Technician to undertake all site electrical maintenance and project activities including the following:

  • Preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Testing & tagging.

  • Electrical technical support to site personnel.

  • Water and waste-water treatment systems.

  • Monitoring, improvement, repairs and scheduled servicing on generators and power systems of plant and equipment.

  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment (pumps, mixers, switches, programmable controllers, lighting, and heating units).

  • Diagnose, repair / replace and test malfunctioning apparatus and electronic components (printed circuit boards, transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures).

  • Replace faulty electrical components of machinery (relays, switches, motors, and positions sensing devices).

  • Plan layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

You will ensure all equipment and tools in your care, custody or control is properly maintained and kept in a safe working condition.

About You:

Qualifications

· Trade qualifications as an "A" Class Electrician.

· Certificate III in Instrumentation.

· Testing & Tagging Electrical Equipment Licence.

· B Class Gas certificate (install & service type B gas appliances).

· Master Cabler Electrical Licence.

· First Aid Certificate and National Police Clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

· Experienced Electrician.

· Experience with instrumentation maintenance and repairs.

· Experience with High Voltage switching.

· Experience in similar role within mining or mineral processing.
