We're seeking a strategically minded Accountant / Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems while partnering with program teams to support informed decision-making and organisational sustainability.

As a hands-on and experienced finance professional, you'll combine strong technical accounting capability with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly and effectively. You'll ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records through meticulous reconciliations, effective month-end and year-end processes, and sound financial analysis.

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who enjoys both the technical depth of accounting and the collaborative engagement of business partnering within a values-driven, purpose-led organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform meticulous and timely account reconciliations, with a solutions focus.
• Perform month-end and year-end close, including journals, accruals, and analysis.
• Preparation of financial reports with insightful analysis and commentary on trends and variances.
• Respond to audit queries and assist with compliance reviews.
• Analyse financial data to identify variances and recommend process improvements.
• Collaborate with program teams to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information.

About You

You are a proactive, solutions-focused professional who brings strong accounting knowledge and a keen eye for detail. You take pride in delivering accurate, reliable results and communicating financial information in a clear, meaningful way to support program and organisational outcomes.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting roles with a focus on reconciliations, month-end processes and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Proficiency in MYOB, XERO, Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
