The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a diligent law student in their
2nd or 3rd
year of their studies to join our
Family Law Department.
The role is based in our branch office in Sydney. We are looking for an applicant who has a keen interest in this area of law
with opportunities for progression, within our growing
practice.

Skills and experience we would love

We expect that the successful applicant would:

  • be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week;
  • possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • be a robust and resilient problem solver who is prepared to develop into a strong advocate for our clients;
  • have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-lasting relationships;
  • provide a high-quality client service;
  • be able to work in a team environment;
  • have effective time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and tight deadlines; and
  • have solid academic results.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Lawyer/Partner with all Family Law dealings;
  • Maintaining and managing files under the supervision of a Lawyer/Partner;
  • Drafting Family Law documents under the supervision of a Lawyer/Partner;
  • Research; and
  • Liaising with clients, third parties and at times Counsel.
