Elk is an establishment that has a large local and interstate following for its coffee & food offerings.  We're a large establishment with lots of staff that make this busy place hum.  We are all about offering a standard of excellence in all that we put our hand to and our staff reflect this in all that they do.  We are constantly featured in newspapers, magazines, online media platforms, and we were just ranked top 5 cafes in QLD.  We were awarded Gold Coast best place for breakfast & Brunch, top establishment for brunch and Sunday Mails Top 50 places for brunch in Queensland. We're on the hunt for someone with experience and knowledge in the craft of coffee to join the Elk family.

Each day there is 4 or 5 baristas on for you to work with and make killer brews on our 2 Strada Espresso Machines. We serve our house blend roasted by the legends at Parallel Roasters plus we feature 3 guest roasters from around Australia each week on filter and espresso.  We also have extra one on one training provided for you to develop. We also provide events and training at Parallel Roasters for further development and education.

The successful applicant will posses:

• Years of coffee experience & can handle busy environments

• Experience in a Head Barista Role or has the qualities and skills to match

• Strong latte art

• Killer personality & smile

• Can lead and manage a solid team and bring fresh ideas

• Has full availability (Days off would most likely be FRIDAY SATURDAY)

• Is well structured and organised
