Bayside Legal Perth is a locally owned and operated legal practice that specialises in advanced care planning, Wills, Estates & Probate, guardianship, and capacity matters, including representation, support in State Administrative Tribunal matters and estate administration matters. The practice also engages in limited family law, corporate and commercial work. The firm is involved in several committees, including The Law Society of WA Elder Law & Succession Committee and the WA Health Department Legal Subject Matter Expert Group for Advanced Care Planning and Women Lawyers WA, among other special projects. The practice prides itself on being approachable and serving members of our WA community from a wide range of backgrounds.

Role Description

This is a part-time on-site and remote role for a Law Firm Practice Manager. The role would suit someone who is located in the Perth CPD. The Law Firm Practice Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the office, manage administrative tasks, and ensure the smooth running of the practice. Responsibilities include managing some client communications, handling office logistics, supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations and policies. The role also involves supporting the legal team with limited document preparation, case management, and liaising with external entities as needed.

Bayside Legal is a small but growing firm. Initially, this part-time role is for approximately hours per week, with the aim to grow as the practice grows. The firm offers flexibility in that some work can be managed remotely, however there is also an expectation of being in the office with the team one day per week.

We are looking for an experienced Legal Practice Manager who can set in and come up to speed quickly. As we are a growing firm, we are looking for an individual who has a working knowledge of platforms, programs and products that support a growing firm.

Qualifications

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience in working with Xero.
  • Experience in office management and logistics coordination of a small law firm.
  • Ability to manage client communications professionally, kindly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations and policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in case management systems and supporting the Director in their duties.
  • Experience in supervising staff, working with our (amazing) bookkeeper and accountant to manage payroll and leave, and coordinating schedules.
  • Experience in the legal industry is required.
  • Willingness to manage marketing and organising and supporting small events and education sessions as required.
