The Opportunity

We are seeking an Experienced Full-time Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at Nonda Restaurant. This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role at one of Brisbane's premier modern Japanese dining destinations, crafting innovative menus and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Our ideal candidate is creative, passionate, and driven to push the boundaries of modern Japanese cuisine while championing sustainability and showcasing Australia's best produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute menus inspired by modern Japanese techniques and flavours.
  • Lead and mentor a talented kitchen team.
  • Manage BOH operations, including food costs, P&L, and rostering.
  • Uphold Nonda's commitment to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
  • Foster a respectful and collaborative team culture.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience as a Head Chef in a premium dining environment.
  • A deep appreciation and understanding of Japanese cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • A passion for sustainability and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Excellent operational knowledge of BOH management.
  • A commitment to creating a welcoming, respectful workplace.
