Your Responsibilities

Based in Newcastle, and reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be primarily responsible for leading OH&S, managing the assembly team, improving production, and overseeing inventory and logistics. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Developing, managing, and leading a medium-sized team of assembly personnel in a semi-automated plant
  • Ensuring production and distribution meet tight customer deadlines
  • Leading process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs in line with KPIs
  • Planning and managing inventory to ensure operational efficiency
  • Overseeing purchasing, stock control, and logistical requirements for accuracy and flow

What you will bring

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and process flow applications
  • Excellent time management skills and establishing routines for observing deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on quality assurance and identifying improvements.
  • The ability to develop teams and relationships through personal leadership.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance, single-shift operations, and driving efficiency.
