About the opportunityQualifications and ExperienceEssential:
  • Tertiary qualifications (minimum a diploma) in Accounting, Audit, Commerce or Business Management
  • Solid experience in auditing and implementation of ERM systems
  • A high level understanding of AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009 Risk Management and the Global Internal Audit Standards issued by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Desirable:
  • Interpersonal skills with a capacity to influence others
  • Experience in completing audits in government agencies
  • Demonstrated project management and facilitation skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and concurrently on several audit tasks
  • Current class C driver's licence.
Remuneration and Benefits
  • Entry level for this position starts at $2, $2,217.67 per week
  • 35-hour working week
  • Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
