Full-stack AI Engineer – Enterprise AI & LLMs | Melbourne/Hybrid

Our client, a pioneering AI product and consulting studio in Melbourne, is searching for an experienced Full-stack AI Engineer to drive high-impact projects leveraging large language models, modern web technologies, and robust engineering best practices.

What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-powered applications, integrating LLMs with enterprise systems and real-world data
- Own features across the full stack: build and scale modern front ends (React, TypeScript), robust back ends (Python, APIs), and secure cloud deployments (Terraform, containerisation, CICD)
- Drive delivery in cross-functional agile product teams, collaborating with product, engineering, and client stakeholders
- Prototype new capabilities, experiment with emerging LLM and agent frameworks, and contribute to internal delivery libraries and tooling
- Bake observability, testing, and evaluation into everything you build, ensuring reliability, compliance, and business value
- Focus on projects in
enterprise domains
like sales enablement, workflow automation, and knowledge discovery
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience
as a full-stack software engineer, building, scaling, and delivering complex web applications in production (
enterprise experience highly valued
) - Recent, hands-on expertise
working with large language models (LLMs), agentic systems, or AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, ADK) in the last 1-2 years - Strong programming skills in Python and modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript)
- Track record of shipping robust, secure, and maintainable code as part of agile product teams
- Experience integrating AI into real enterprise workflows; exposure to sales enablement, CRM, or knowledge management platforms is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, DevOps (Terraform, container orchestration, serverless), and modern deployment practices
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Desirable:
- Experience with production monitoring, observability, and evaluation of generative AI/LLM deployments
- Background in deploying agent-based or AI-driven applications from prototype to production
