Making Milestones SA is a multi-disciplinary service provider composed of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, a dietitian, developmental educators, and allied health assistants. We work with individuals of all ages who face learning, developmental, functional, and communication challenges. Our services include individual and group therapy, school holiday programs, and training workshops for parents and teachers.

Role Description

The Occupational Therapist will provide assessment and intervention to support children, adolescents, and adults in developing the skills they need to participate meaningfully in everyday activities. The role involves working collaboratively within our multi-disciplinary team to deliver family-centred and goal-driven therapy that supports clients' independence, confidence, and wellbeing across home, school, and community environments.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting a range of developmental and functional assessments.
• Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to support participation in daily life activities.
• Supporting clients with sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, and daily living tasks, amongst other life skills.
• Providing education, coaching, and practical strategies to families, caregivers, and educators.
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to develop holistic, integrated care plans.
• Contributing to supervision, team learning, and program development initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• New-graduate, early career and experienced clinician positions currently available
• Experience with developmental delay, motor disorders, neurological conditions, or disability support (e.g. NDIS).
• Knowledge in sensory processing, emotional regulation and developmental frameworks
• Strong skills in family-centred and play-based approaches.
• Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
