As a Civil Engineer in Water Infrastructure
Services, you'll play a key role in
maintaining and improving water supply and wastewater
infrastructure that directly supports our thriving
community. You'll work alongside a supportive and
professional team, reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer,
to deliver maintenance and capital works programs, provide
expert technical advice, and ensure the highest engineering
standards are achieved.
*What You'll Be Doing*
- Provide technical advice and guidance to
engineers, technical, and maintenance staff across water
and wastewater infrastructure projects. - Lead infrastructure assessments, deliver
maintenance programs, and monitor performance against
time and financial targets. - Contribute to capital works planning and
budget development. - Review and provide feedback on
engineering designs and technical documentation to
ensure compliance with Council standards. - Advise on development applications
relating to water and wastewater networks. - Build strong relationships with internal
and external stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
for the community. - Champion safety, quality, and continuous
improvement within your team.
*What We're Looking For*
We're seeking an experienced and motivated
engineer who is outcome-focused, technically strong, and
passionate about delivering sustainable water solutions.
Qualifications &
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or
Environmental Engineering (mandatory). - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
in design, construction, and maintenance of water and
wastewater infrastructure. - Registered Professional Engineer of
Queensland (RPEQ) – desirable (or eligible for
registration). - WH&S Competency Card (or willingness
to obtain prior to commencement). - Current 'C' Class
Driver's Licence. - Additional certifications (Working at
Heights, Confined Space Entry) are advantageous.
Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent organisational and analytical
skills with a focus on results. - Strong communication and stakeholder
engagement abilities. - Proven experience managing projects,
priorities, and workflows. - A commitment to teamwork, safety, and
delivering quality outcomes for the community.
