The Royal Automobile Club of Australia (RACA), incorporating Imperial Service Club

is a prestigious members club, founded in 1903 that has since retained its enthusiasm for all things auto. The clubhouse is an eight-storey, grand, state heritage-listed building adjacent to Circular Quay at 89 Macquarie Street in Sydney, New South Wales.

We're currently seeking a dedicated housekeeping to cover Accommodation, Public Area, and Functions.

What We Need from You:

We're in search of an experienced, passionate, and self-motivated Public Area Cleaner/Room Attendant's/F&B Cleaning for events, so this role will be a variety of difference spacesto cover Accommodation, Public Area, and Functions to join our team. Ideally, you'll have a proven track record in hotel and commercial cleaning environments.

As a strong communicator and motivator, you'll join the housekeeping team to maintain the highest standards of work on a daily basis.

The Role:

Reporting to the Director of Operations & F&B,  the Head of Housekeeping.

Your primary responsibilities are:

Housekeeping is responsible for ensuring our guests receive efficient  and superior levels of cleanliness and service in the RACA Club public areas, rooms, and event spaces ensuring cleanliness in all areas throughout the premises.

To excel in this role, you'll need:

Public Area Cleaner

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms and outdoor spaces.
• Perform regular cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming.
• Ensure restrooms are well stocked with necessary supplies and maintain to a high standard.
• Empty trash bins and disposal of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from guests or management.
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues or hazards.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures.

Room Attendant (Rooms and Event Spaces)

• Accommodate the requests and needs of all guests
• Ensure that your daily allocation of guest rooms is cleaned within your shift according to the RACA brand standards. This could be a mix of check-out and occupied rooms and suites.
• Report any guest room or guest corridor maintenance issues
• Respond to any requests from the Housekeeping Supervisor such as additional amenities or being allocated to a different urgent room.
• Event spaces, F&B events cleaning the rooms after and before events commence and during.
• Uphold The RACA standards and the hotel's policies and procedures.
• We do not have balconies so more time can be focused on the quality cleaning of the room.

What do I need to succeed?

• A willingness to be flexible with being allocated to other tasks as required, and working within a team to deliver excellence.
• Provide superior levels of service and always smile and be polite.
• Availability to work seven days including weekends and public holidays on a rotating rostered issued by the Housekeeping Supervisor
• Experience as a Room Attendant in a private club but not essential.
• Professional verbal guest communication skills and personal presentation.
• Strong physical ability as you will be cleaning multiple rooms per day

Casual level 5 modern award. Australian residents - or full-time working visas (this is not a sponsored role).

Application process - first Interview with Housekeeping Supervisor then with Director of Operations & F&B

In your application please advise availability - to start as we have a few available positions some to start immediately and others to start next month, please also add your preferences with work days.

We do want someone who is flexible to work on a rotating roster which would include on weekends, this rotating rosters change weekly according to hours required for cleaning in the club.

• Monday - Friday - minimum 6 hours
• Sat and Sunday - minimum 5-6 hours
• Must be able to work per day shift which is 7.5 hours
• MUST HAVE HOUSEKEEPING EXPERIENCE / CLEANING EXPERIENCE IN HOSPITALITY, HOTELS OR CORPORATE ENVIRONMENTS, HOTELS PREFERRED

Must supply, two references from previous employment

• Proof of vaccinations – Service NSW
• National Police Check (Current year) - or willing to obtain this before starting.
