We're looking for a Junior Marketing Assistant to join our team and support our Marketing Manager in executing ideas and campaigns across both brands. If you love content, design, creativity, and using AI tools to make work faster and smarter — this role is for you.

About the Role

You'll be working side by side with the Marketing Manager to transform ideas into action. As our marketing activity ramps up, the Marketing Manager — who currently drives most of the creative work — is looking for someone to jump in and help with execution. No two days are ever the same — and that's what makes this role exciting

While the Marketing Manager sets the vision and direction, you'll be the creative executor — designing, editing, building, and polishing the materials that make our marketing shine.

You'll work across two brands:

  • A start up eCommerce brand in the outdoor lifestyle space (FYR Republic)
  • An international freight forwarding business helping people and companies move cargo globally

The workload will vary depending on campaign cycles, but you'll gain valuable strategic and practical experience across both creative and operational sides of marketing.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Create and design marketing assets such as social media graphics, email banners, website visuals, and brochures using Canva or your preferred design tools.
  • Assist in email campaign design and setup across platforms like Brevo, Klaviyo, Hubspot, and Shopify.
  • Capture and edit short-form videos and reels for campaigns and social media channels.
  • Support website content updates — refreshing visuals, updating copy, and assisting with minor design or layout changes (basic web development experience is a plus).
  • Assist in coordination and communication with third party marketing agencies
  • Assist in planning and executing organic and paid ad campaigns, including asset preparation and scheduling.
  • Research content ideas, trends, and competitors to inspire creative marketing concepts.
  • Monitor and report on marketing performance (social engagement, email results, campaign metrics, etc.).
  • Explore and use AI tools and automation apps to streamline creative, reporting, and administrative workflows.
  • Support general marketing admin tasks

Who We're Looking For

  • Currently studying Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field (preferably Year 3 or 4).
  • A creative eye for design with strong attention to detail — you enjoy creating visually engaging work that feels on-brand and polished.
  • Proficient in Canva (bonus points if you've dabbled with Figma, Adobe, or CapCut).
  • Confident in creating and editing social media videos, with a good sense of pacing, aesthetics, and storytelling.

  • Comfortable working on website updates, learning basic content management or layout editing.

  • Interested in AI tools and automation apps and curious about how they can make marketing faster and smarter.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — you'll be coordinating with the Marketing Manager and occasionally third-party agencies.

  • Organised, proactive, and eager to jump into a variety of marketing tasks — from designing and writing to scheduling and reporting.

  • Excited by variety — each day will look a little different, from brainstorming new content ideas to helping execute live campaigns.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Google Ads and Facebook Ads management
  • Profiency in website development (Wordpress, Shopify)
