About The Role
At Origin Zero, we help large businesses accelerate their decarbonisation journey with tailored, innovative energy solutions. Due to growth, we're expanding our Strategic Partners team with a unique opportunity for an experienced relationship builder who thrives in both business development,account management and project delivery.

As a Strategic Partners Manager, reporting into the Sector Lead of the portfolio, you'll build long-term, trusted partnerships with key manufacturing, retail and property customers, helping them optimise energy demand, reduce emissions, and deliver measurable sustainability outcomes. This is a role for someone who loves winning new opportunities, understands these target sectors while nurturing strategic relationships for the long term. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Expand Origin Zero's customer base, with a strong focus on the manufacturing, retail and property sectors.
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring seamless, end-to-end energy solutions.
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer value propositions across both commodity and non-commodity solutions (solar, BESS, demand flexibility, and more).
  • Identify, secure, and grow high-value opportunities through new business development and account growth strategies.
  • Lead or support major acquisition and retention initiatives, influencing C-suite and senior decision makers.
  • To be self-driven and able to work across cross-functional teams to deliver on customer needs and business targets

Knowledge of sustainability and a dedication to making a positive impact are crucial. The candidate should have innovative ideas and creative solutions to address energy challenges, along with the ability to engage and build trust with external senior stakeholders and internal specialty teams to deliver on customer solutions. , Favourable applicants will be able to demonstrate:

  • B2B business development experience with a proven track record of delivering growth.
  • Experience working within the manufacturing,retail and/or property portfolio clients.
  • Experience in the energy sector, spanning both commodity and non-commodity solutions.
  • Have a background or technical qualifications in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical or Project Management and can demonstrate a consultative approach in understanding customer energy needs
  • Demonstrated ability to balance hunting new business with nurturing and growing existing accounts.
  • A commercial mindset with strong stakeholder management skills, able to engage C-suite executives and influence decision-making.
  • Strategic thinking with the creativity to deliver innovative, customer-focused energy solutions.
