About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Project Installation Manager – Metal Tanks to lead the delivery of large-scale tank installation projects across Australia.

You'll oversee multiple installation teams, manage budgets and schedules, and drive continuous improvement across Aline's tank product group. This role is hands-on and leadership-driven, requiring strong coordination between clients, site teams, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

This position involves frequent travel to project sites. Travel, accommodation, and meal allowances are provided in line with company policy.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery

• Oversee all aspects of tank installation projects, from mobilisation through to commissioning and handover

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, timeline, budget, resource allocation, and risk management

• Ensure all installations are completed to Aline's quality, safety, and regulatory standards (AS2304 compliance)

• Monitor project costs, performance metrics, and schedule accuracy

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and motivate Site Managers and installation teams

• Build and maintain effective teams by recruiting, developing, and supporting staff performance

• Foster a positive and accountable work culture aligned with Aline's values and Culture Canvas

• Identify and develop future leaders within the team

Stakeholder & Client Communication

• Maintain clear communication with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders

• Provide regular progress updates and address challenges promptly to ensure client satisfaction

• Manage warranty claims and customer feedback to continuously improve service outcomes

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Drive a strong safety culture through proactive leadership and compliance with WHS legislation

• Work collaboratively with the WHSE Officer to ensure safe work practices on all sites

• Lead by example in contributing to TRIFR and PSF safety targets

• Conduct quality checks and enforce standards for materials and workmanship

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Manage procurement of materials and subcontractor relationships

• Optimise project delivery methods to improve installation efficiency and gross profit

• Drive process improvements across the tank business unit

About You

• Trade qualification in construction, sheet metalwork, or a related field (highly regarded)

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory or project management role within construction or tank installation

• Strong understanding of project management, site safety, and quality assurance processes

• Proven track record in cost control, scheduling, and achieving project deadlines

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic plans

• Familiarity with WHS legislation and safe work practices

• Construction Induction (White Card) – mandatory

• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel frequently
