DGH is expanding – and we are seeking an experienced General Yardperson | Trade Assistant | Rigger to join our Emerald team. You'll play a key role in keeping our workshop running smoothly and ensuring a safe, organised, and efficient work environment.

Your Role:

You'll be hands-on in managing:

  • Materials handling (incoming and outgoing)
  • Workshop and yard organisation
  • Stores inventory and stock management
  • Booking and coordinating transport
  • Supporting maintenance activities and trades as required

You'll work closely with the Workshop Manager, be proactive, organised, and physically capable, and help the team keep operations safe and productive.

Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for someone who has experience in workshop or yard work and can:

  • Operate maintenance equipment including cranes and forklifts
  • Load, unload, and move materials safely
  • Maintain housekeeping of maintenance compounds and clean equipment
  • Support supervisors with setting up work areas
  • Assist tradespeople in servicing and maintaining equipment
  • Spot, pack, and unpack tooling and general trades assistant duties
  • Undertake general labouring tasks when required

What You'll Need?

  • High-Risk Forklift Licence (LF) – essential
  • MR Truck Licence – essential
  • Intermediate Rigger (HRWL)
  • Non-Slew Crane – desirable
