Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in a commercial kitchen, adhering to dietary requirements and food safety standards.
- Demonstrate knowledge of HACCP, food allergies, and food safety protocols.
- Work autonomously with excellent time management to deliver high-quality meals.
- Follow policies and procedures, taking instruction from supervisors.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Show compassion and understanding when working with individuals with mental health challenges.
- Work with fresh food and ingredients to create nutritious, flavorful meals.
Essential Requirements:
- Recent police clearance.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a cooking role.
- Commercial kitchen experience.
- HACCP knowledge and food safety certification.
- Trade qualification or Food Safety Certificate.
- Strong understanding of dietary requirements and food allergies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently.
- Compassionate approach when working with individuals with mental health issues.
- Reliable, efficient, and well-organized.
