Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (OLSH) College is a Catholic secondary school for girls from Years 7 – 12. Since 1951, we have been building on tradition and inspiring excellence in girls' education. THE ROLE

We are excited to invite a passionate and experienced Maintenance and Grounds Manager to join our school community. This is a permanent full time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm.

The Maintenance and Grounds Manager will exercise a very high level of specialist skills and knowledge to lead and manage the function and team. Maintenance and Grounds plays an integral part in our school community maintaining the College to a high standard of presentation and safety.

This role will work collaboratively and on a diverse range of areas including property, building, equipment, grounds and garden, and associated Sports Fields. This role will also be the Chief Fire Warden of the College, as well as a key coordinator for all fire and safety incidents occur around the College.

ABOUT YOU

  • Diploma in Horticulture, Landscape Design or similar and/or an Accredited Trade qualification e.g. electrical, plumbing, horticulture, carpentry, etc.
  • Manual Handling, White Card and Working at Heights training is desirable
  • WHS including Hazard Management & Job Safety Analysis - Hazard Awareness
  • Experience working in a maintenance and grounds environment, preferably in a school setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge in managing resources, machinery and equipment needed to maintain grounds, buildings, equipment, gardens and recreation areas
  • Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of grounds and lawn maintenance
  • WHS compliance knowledge
