**The Role**:
We are seeking a dedicated **Grounds & Maintenance / Gardener** to join our on-island team. This hands-on role is responsible for maintaining the natural beauty and functionality of Rumi’s outdoor spaces, gardens, and facilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain resort gardens, lawns, and native plantings to a high standard.
- Perform general maintenance tasks including irrigation, pruning, fertilising, mulching, and weed control.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and small machinery (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Assist with minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of outdoor structures and paths.
- Support broader maintenance and housekeeping teams when required.
- Monitor irrigation systems, water use, and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain safe and tidy work areas, adhering to WHS policies.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to the Duty Manager.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in gardening, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
- Ability to operate horticultural and maintenance equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail with pride in presentation.
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varied conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive attitude.
- Current driver’s licence essential; ability to work independently on-island preferred.

**Desirable**:

- Certificate II or III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working in resorts, estates, or remote properties.
- Basic trade or handyman skills.
