About the role

We are seeking an experienced MR Truck Driver/Yard Person to join our team at Fastplast Building Supplies in Port Macquarie, NSW. This full-time role will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to our customers, as well as assisting with general yard duties. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in supporting the operations of our growing building supplies business.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate MR class vehicles to deliver building materials to customer sites
  • Hand delivery of plasterboard to projects in the area - Note: our company pays an extra/over and above salary, plasterboard delivery bonus
  • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, including the use of forklifts
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and stock movements
  • Contribute to the overall organisation and upkeep of the yard and warehouse areas
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Comply with all relevant workplace health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • A current MR truck licence and good driving record
  • Forklift licence and experience in operating forklifts preferable
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Must be physically fit with the ability to repeatedly carry heavy loads
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable commitment to workplace safety
