Secom Technical Services is seeking a skilled and motivated Security Technician to join their tight-knit ACT team based at Canberra Airport. About the Role:

You'll be hands-on in the field, installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting security systems across both Minor Works and Major Projects. 

  • End-to-end delivery of Minor Works: meet the client, complete the install, and close the job.
  • Contribute to larger Major Projects as part of a collaborative crew.
  • Rotate across different project managers and sites, keeping the work varied.
  • Maintain compliance, safety, and documentation standards.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years Australian Citizenship (NV1 Security Clearance eligibility required – Secom will support this)
  • ACT Security Licence (or ability to obtain – Secom will support this)
  • Drivers licence
  • White Card and Asbestos Awareness Card (or ability to obtain)
  • Hands-on trade background – Security Technician, or Electrician/BMS tech cross-skilling
  • Construction site experience, following safety and working with PMs/trades
  • Strong communication, stakeholder skills, and attention to detail

Nice to Have:

  • 3+ years' experience in security systems install/commissioning
  • Programming/commissioning experience with Gallagher, T1A or similar
  • ICT networking skills
  • Fault identification, isolation, and reporting
  • Experience creating cable schedules, drawings, and documentation
