The Opportunity

Sharp & Carter are proud to partner with a reputable employer for the recruit of a permanent full-time Accounts Receivable Officer to join a growing finance team based in the Southern suburbs of Brisbane. This full-time role offers work-life balance, parking onsite and 

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you'll be part of a supportive and values-driven organisation where employees are truly valued and long-term career development is encouraged. This position allows you to work in a fast-paced environment supporting with end-to-end accounts receivable function. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily debtor collections, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts via phone, email and written correspondence.
  • Process and allocate incoming payments accurately, including management of direct debit and credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies and resolve billing or payment issues in collaboration with operations and sales teams.
  • Prepare monthly statements, ageing reports and maintain accurate records of collection activities and correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support efficient collections and positive customer experiences.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable roles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer service mindset and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
