About the Position

As the Senior Cook, you will be responsible for the quality production of all meals and food services for the Community, as well as all cleaning and sanitation involved in production, service and dining room usage. This is a Part Time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-quality meals, manage menus, and ensure food safety standards are met as the site's Food Safety Supervisor.
  • Oversee ordering, stock management, and budgeting to ensure efficient and cost-effective kitchen operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in line with hygiene and WHS standards.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and staff, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • Follow WHS procedures, complete required training, and contribute to a safe and continuously improving workplace.

About You:

  • Food Safety Supervisor accreditation with HACCP knowledge.
  • Confident cooking buffet-style meals, with basic budget knowledge and strong communication skills.
  • Friendly, professional, team-oriented, organised, and detail-focused.
  • Able to lift, bend, stand for long periods, and safely use kitchen and cleaning equipment.
