Nepean Hospital is seeking a motivated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant (AHA) to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care and recovery by supporting Allied Health Professionals in the delivery of high-quality clinical services.

Working under the supervision and direction of qualified Allied Health staff, the Allied Health Assistant plays a vital role in assisting with patient treatment programs, preparing therapy materials, equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of the department.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance [or willingness to work towards completion of same] with demonstrated patient care experience working in a health care setting
• Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge and experience
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities as scheduled/delegated
• Demonstrated computer literacy
• Current NSW Driver's licence
