We're looking for our next energetic, engaging, and committed OSHC Assistant Director to join one of our services in the Inner West and lead the team at a before-and-after-school service.

 Who are we? 

We're Weldon Children's Services, better known as Weldon. We are a not-for-profit provider of OSHC that educates, cares, and supports children and families.

We educate, excite, and engage children before and after school and have memorable holidays. We use evidence-backed positive psychology and wellbeing to educate and care for children, their families, school, and local community.

  KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Early or Middle Years Education.

  • Experience in a leadership or team leader role within early or middle years education.

  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and relevant legislation.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

  • Support the Director in managing daily operations and administration of the program.

  • Act as the Responsible Person in the absence of the Director, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a high-quality educational program aligned with the My Time Our Place framework.

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, staff, and the wider community.

  • Support the development and implementation of the service's Quality Improvement Plan.

  • Ensure compliance with Weldon's policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation including WHS and Child Protection.

  • Contribute to the development of a high-performing team and promote professional growth.

  • Support the induction and supervision of new staff and students on placement.

  • Promote health, safety, and wellbeing practices across the service.
