About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Dental Assistant and Front Desk Team Member to join our dynamic team at The Townsville Dental Centre in Townsville, QLD 4810. This is a casual role, providing you with the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments. As a key member of our dental practice, you will play an integral part in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the smooth operation of our clinic.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing professional and courteous assistance to patients, including greeting, check-in, and check-out processes
  • Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are fully stocked and sanitised
  • Assisting dentists during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction, and completing other chairside duties
  • Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Entering patient records and updating treatment plans in our practice management software
  • Answering incoming phone calls and scheduling patient appointments
  • Performing various administrative tasks to support the efficient operations of the practice

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or Front Desk Team Member, preferably in a dental practice setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using dental practice management software and computer systems
  • A friendly, professional, and compassionate attitude towards patients
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required
