Do you meet these minimum requirements?

  • Live in or near Newcastle NSW including surrounding suburbs
    Adamstown, Bar Beach, Broadmeadow, Carrington, Cooks Hill, Eleremore Vale, Fletcher, Hamilton, Islington, Jesmond, Kotara, Lambton, Mayfield, Maryland, Maryville, Merewether, New Lambton, The Hill, The Junction, Wallsend or Waratah.
  • Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (sorry, we cannot accept International licences or shared/rental vehicles)
  • Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (some weekend rosters available for experienced carers)
  • Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start (Get ready to learn, grow & be supported) Travel is required for training.
  • Know this is NOT a vacancy for Disability or to work in a facility/nursing home

What this role offers:

  • Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates
  • Permanent Part-Time or Casual Contracts
  • Permanent Contract hours: 20-40 hours per fortnight + flex up hours.
  • Hourly Rate: $ $34.16 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Entry-Level Carers: Provide domestic assistance, such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Experienced Carers: Provide personal care services including showering, toileting, assistance with medications, as well as domestic duties & social supports such as assisting with transportation for clients.
  • Most importantly: be a friendly face & brighten someone's day

Domestic assistance will form a significant part of your role – this applies to both our entry-level and experienced carers. From helping with household tasks to offering personal support, you'll make a real difference in people's lives every day.
