Short-Term Finance Opportunity – Join a Progressive Local Council

Are you a finance admin, debt recovery, or customer service professional looking to gain valuable experience in the public sector?
We're partnering with a proactive local government authority currently seeking a Finance & Rates Support Officer to support their finance team during a system transition. This short-term contract (3–6 months) offers a great opportunity to contribute meaningfully while expanding your experience in a local council environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Responding to customer inquiries about rates, payments, and property accounts

• Performing reconciliations and accurate data entry

• Assisting with account follow-ups and debt recovery tasks

• Working collaboratively with internal teams and stakeholders

• Helping maintain high standards in financial record-keeping

Who We're Looking For

• Detail-oriented individuals with strong communication and admin skills

• Experienced in finance, rates, revenue, or debt collection (local gov experience a plus)

• Familiarity with Technology One / OneCouncil is advantageous, but not required
