We're partnering with a global organisation with its Australian HQ based on Brisbane's northside, to appoint an experienced People & Culture Business Partner into a highly respected, close-knit P&C team.
This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys the hands-on, advisory end of HR. You'll work closely with leaders, own your caseload end-to-end, and operate as a trusted partner across a diverse, operational workforce. With a passionate and visible Chief People Officer, strong values, and a supportive culture, this is a business that invests in doing P&C well.
Conveniently located close to public transport, cafes and amenities, this role offers the right balance of autonomy, support and flexibility.
About the role
You'll play a pivotal role in supporting leaders and employees across the full employee lifecycle. Approximately 70% of the role is case management, making this ideal for someone who thrives in ER/IR and complex people matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a true business partner to leaders, providing pragmatic, commercially sound advice aligned to organisational objectives
- Managing a broad range of ER/IR matters including grievances, misconduct, performance management and investigations
- Coaching leaders to build capability in people management, decision-making and change
- Supporting people change initiatives, workforce planning, engagement and capability uplift
- Ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation, awards and policies, and contributing to continuous improvement of HR frameworks
- Using people data and insights to inform recommendations and support business outcomes
- Enabling leaders to attract, develop and retain talent through effective workforce and succession planning
About you
You're an experienced P&C professional who enjoys being close to the business and isn't afraid of complexity. You bring sound judgement, calm confidence, and a genuine interest in employee relations.
You'll likely bring:
- 3+ years' experience as a P&C or HR Business Partner in a medium to large, complex organisation
- Strong ER/IR capability with proven experience managing end-to-end casework
- A collaborative, coaching-led style with the ability to influence leaders at different levels
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to have robust, constructive conversations
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
- Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining a strong team contributor
- Willingness to travel intrastate/interstate on occasion
