About us

After 23 years owning and operating scores of premium pubs in London, Southern England and Wales, the founders relocated to Brisbane determined to make their mark on Queensland and beyond. Our mission is to create a collection of venues that serve their local area by delivering the very best in food, drinks, service and atmosphere. Not a poker machine or TAB in sight and breaking the mould with our menu, drinks and style inspired by our history of iconic and award-winning pubs in the UK (including Best UK Pub Company). Our first pub, The Rose & Crown has already made a big impact and has built a great following of loyal customers. We succeed due to the strength of our teams, so we are obsessed with getting the best people on board, giving them space to show what they can do, and promoting a real sense of ownership within them through our monthly profit share bonus. Qualifications & experience

  • A minimum of 2 years previous Venue Management experience
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, able to identify commercial opportunities and design different paths to achieve them
  • Excellent knowledge of the food and beverage scene in Australia, preferably Brisbane
  • Ability to inspire and lead bringing out the best of team members
  • UK hospitality experience desirable but not essential
  • RMLV and Approved Manager essential
  • Candidates must obtain RMLV and Approved Manager licences before commencing employment

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Building on our successful launch, your main focus will be to constantly drive growth - we're only getting started
  • Constantly developing and motivating the team to create a culture that breeds and celebrates success, providing an unrivalled customer experience and building an ever-growing crowd of regular customers
  • Being the face of the business for customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders. Mine Host for key trading sessions.
  • Driving top-line sales by ensuring consistency in service standards while implementing a rolling schedule of trade-building activity and developing event and function revenue.
  • Delivering financial targets through discipline with respect to margin, labour and cost control.
