About The Team
The
National Measurement Institute

We play a fundamental role underpinning the Australian economy by maintaining and regulating Australia's measurement system, developing and maintaining national measurement standards, and delivering world-class measurement products and client services.

NMI's
Legal Metrology Branch
plays an important role in ensuring Australian consumers and industry can rely on trusted measurements for fair trade in goods and services. The Legal Metrology Branch supports and regulates industry to provide trusted measurements for fair trade in goods and services via administration of the National Measurement Act 1960 and subordinate regulations. The role will be within the Programs and Governance Section within the Legal Metrology Branch.

The opportunity
The Data Architect will support the Legal Metrology Branch to deliver a major IT enhancement project for DISR; the Trade Measurement Activity and Reporting System Phase 4 Enhancement Project (the project). The project will deliver critical enhancements to the Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and associated NMI Services Portal (NMISP) as part of NMI's broader digital strategy.

We're looking for candidates with strong analytical and communication skills who have a strong understanding of the data lifecycle. • Well-developed oral and written communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, including well developed negotiation and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Build and sustain relationships; liaise with a range of stakeholders within and outside of the division.
  • Adhere to the Australian Public Service Values, NMI values and Code of Conduct and consistently behave in an honest, ethical and professional way.

What you will do
