About The Role:

The Workplace Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth daily operation of food, beverage, and community programs within a single workplace. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, while fostering an engaging and well-managed workplace environment through food and cultural activations.

Key Responsibilities

Pantry & Meal Program Operations

  • Oversee daily pantry, lunch, and catering programs within the workplace.
  • Quarterly pre-plan buffet lunch program.
  • Prepare, portion, plate, and present food safely and attractively for staff and visitors.
  • Ensure refrigerators, snack stations, kitchens, and pantry displays are consistently stocked, well-organized, and visually appealing.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of food items and supplies, ensuring proper storage of both perishable and non-perishable goods.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations by monitoring expiration dates, managing stock rotation, and following safe food handling protocols.
  • Keep stockrooms clean and organized, applying FIFO (First In, First Out) practices at all times.
  • Ensure labels, signage, and dietary information are accurate and up to date.
  • Support menu planning, tastings, and product rotations in consultation with the Workplace Experience team.

Supplier & Cost Management

  • Coordinate supplier deliveries and maintain strong relationships with service partners.
  • Monitor product quality, freshness, and consistency, escalating issues as needed.
  • Track wastage levels and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency and sustainability initiatives without compromising quality.

Compliance, Safety & Standards

  • Lead compliance with workplace health and safety.
  • Conduct daily food safety checks and maintain proper documentation.
  • Report hazards, maintenance needs, or equipment faults promptly.
  • Maintain audit readiness and uphold workplace health and food safety standards.

Community Engagement & Communication

  • Manage internal communication for food and beverage programs (e.g., Slack, digital signage, or posters).
  • Create engaging content to share menus, special lunches, and event updates.
  • Regularly update the site brief to reflect program changes and key initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of themed activations, cultural events, and wellness initiatives that enhance workplace culture.
  • Coordinate feedback loops between staff, management, and suppliers to drive improvements in quality and engagement.

Events & Activations

  • Coordinate workplace food activations, pop-ups, and seasonal celebrations.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and service delivery.
  • Support event logistics, setup, and post-event evaluation to measure engagement and participation.
  • Ensure events align with workplace culture, inclusivity, and company values.
  • Prepare and lead monthly meetings with the client to review program performance, feedback, and upcoming initiatives.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in corporate catering, hospitality, or workplace food service.
  • Strong understanding of food handling, presentation, and dietary requirements.
  • RSA certification (required).
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of WHS, HACCP, and food safety practices.
  • Basic budgeting awareness and cost-conscious decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with staff, suppliers, and clients.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and familiar with digital signage or communication tools (e.g., Slack).
  • Customer-service oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
