About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disability, assisting them to achieve their goals, enhance their independence, and participate fully in the community.

As part of our commitment to inclusive and culturally appropriate support, we are specifically looking for a Turkish-speaking support worker to meet the needs of our participants and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, mobility, meal preparation).
  • Support participants to engage in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation.
  • Implement individualised support plans tailored to participant needs and goals.
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity in all aspects of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with NDIS requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and team members.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in disability, aged care, or community support (preferred but not essential).
  • Fluency in Turkish and English (spoken and written).
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy.

Pay rate is as per the NDIS Award Rate and increases in line with the NDIS pay guide.

Job Types: Subcontract, Casual, Contract

Pay: $35.15 – $95.10 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 15 per week
